About Us

Hello, I am Madeleine Bonnes with my husband Tony, son Tobias, and of course, our dogs. I am German and grew up close to Kulmbach, a city renowned for its beer. While living there and learning the job of a veterinarian assistant, I got to know my first Australian Shepherds. After work I visited the owner’s ranch and we became fast friends. As I discovered that she was, in fact, breeding these fantastic dogs I decided almost instantly that I wanted an Aussie. I got my first dog, Cody, which I explain on his page, and about a year later Cody, Tobias, and I moved near Bamberg.

My husband, Tony, was an officer in the US Army stationed in Bamberg. It was in this quaint Franconian city where we came together one lucky night. We now live in the United States, in Saint Robert, Missiouri.
